Course Overview

This course will involve a detailed exploration of the four major types of literature: poetry, the short story, the play, and the novel. Skills developed will include analysis/interpretation, criticism, discussion, and persuasive, personal and expository writing.

• To emphasize the relevance, importance, and significance of literature
• To improve writing skills
• To develop vocabulary and a familiarity with literary terms
